This past week our team was working alongside our outsourced Search Engine Optimization team. This team is continuously building exposure in different parts of the world for our Hiring Simulation Assessment process.
As we started to review keywords for our website we could not help but notice what many candidates were reading on the web. One of the highest “searched” topics by candidates over the past few months is the phrase Interview Questions and Answers For Sales Associate. Last month alone this phrase was used over 165,000 times.
What does this tell you? This type of information should be a real wake-up call to all hiring managers when engaged in face to face or telephone interviews. Be aware that a good portion of your candidates have spent a significant amount of time searching the questions you plan to ask and even more time practicing how to respond.
There are a few ways to battle this Question and Answer issue – we are a little bias to our Hiring Simulation Assessment process. We believe your hiring team needs to move candidates out of the interview process and into real life Hiring Simulation Assessment. This is where the rubber meets the road. Hiring managers get past the prepared interview responses from the candidate and into real life applications where you see and hear candidates engaging with you as if they are presently working in the role you are hiring for.
In the traditional interview process (behavioural interviews included) all the hiring manager is going to see is the candidate’s ability to perform in an interview setting. Why not take them to the next level and see them in action? A candidate may be able to search for Interview Questions and Answers For Sales Associate and fake a good response to common questions, but they will not be able to fake our hiring simulation process, as it will test the skills that are vital to the job they are applying for.
