Importance of Pre-Employment Testing

Pre-Employment testing are tests used by employers to screen applicants before hiring them. The types of pre-employment testing can vary in nature, but allow both potential employers and candidates to make the best possible decisions when hiring or applying for a job & often end up being vital to the hiring process.

Hire Results Ltd performed an informal survey with hiring sales managers. The results were quite interesting. Knowing that one of the most important functions a manager has is to ensure they hire good people within their department, the results of the survey showed us two interesting facts about a manager and hiring. First was that they did not like to interview candidates. The second point of the survey was that managers clearly stated that they were not good or qualified to assess candidates. If you have ever had these issues, pre-employment testing can help you avoid a big hiring mistake that would cost your company big money.

If this is the case, the hiring manager needs to have other tools available to them to assist them in the overall hiring process and making better hiring decisions. Allowing clients to gather additional data on a candidate, which they would not have received in the interview, to make a better hiring decision. Pre-employment testing is to allow the manager to look deeper into the candidate so they can potentially make a better hiring decision.
